About Me

Hey there!

It would be silly for me to recount my life story here. I mean, time, right? So, I will give you some of the sprinkles that top and flavor the cake that is me:

  • I’m a Nuyorican. I’m proud to have been born in Brooklyn and love New York to the point of aches and anger.
  • I have always loved reading and writing. Instead of playing outside with the rest of the kids, I would go to the library.
  • I’m very good at reading many books at once and not finishing any of them.
  • I grew up in a family of musicians. Mom, Dad, and Step-Dad. It is why I began singing at the age of nine.
  • I was a Junior/Senior High School English teacher for twenty years in NY.
  • I don’t believe that we should embrace ONE profession that then consumes our life and dictates our mindset and decisions. I believe that we should explore every profession that we find interesting. I believe that doing so offers us so many beautiful and exciting opportunities to explore and reinvent ourself.
  • I love Amarone and dark chocolate — together.
  • I love learning.
  • I am always growing.
  • I am pretty freaking good around a kitchen.
  • I’m always writing.
  • I recently began drinking black coffee with honey. Game changer.

I’m looking at this list and trying to decide what flavor cake this is. I will report back when I decide and actually bake it.

Looking forward to it.

Kim
